Learning about Technology for my Classroom

Now that I have had a class in digital Collaborative tools for my classroom, I should be able to decide which ones will fit best into what I want to teach. The only problem is that there are so many technology tools out there today I find it overwhelming. At this point, I feel that blogging is probably the best place to begin. Students are familiar with this concept and it offers personalization. Also, I will be able to post assignments and review student's comments on a daily basis. I am hoping that I will become more adept at using these tools in my classroom and I am excited about the opportunites to share with other teachers and students around the world.

Podcasting

Today in class we learned how to add a podcast to our blogspot. Now we can add recorded messages for everyone to hear. This is a great tool for the classroom and kids will have a lot of fun while communicating with other students around the world if they want!! Can't wait to use it in my own

New York City

This weekend I am travelling to NYC with my daughter for a couple of days for some shopping, eating and touring adventures. She is leaving for Vienna, Austria soon so this is our special time together. If anyone has any ideas on fun places to go, and see (other than Little Italy and Canal Street which is a given) please let me know! If you've seen any new Broadway shows lately let me know the reviews!!
